I spoke with Grandpa today. He had just woken up from a nap after playing golf all day!! He did confess that he used a golf cart to get around today - said he needs to save his strength his game!! He continues to do quite well in spite of the chemicals injected into his body. His symptoms are fatigue, less hungry than normal, a bit of a sore throat, and his hair is beginning to fall out ~ all expected symptoms. The hair falling out really bothers him. He made me promise I wouldn't laugh - I responded by saying if that is the worst that happens we should count our blessings! And, I offered to shave his head for him - he wanted me to do the same to my head, but hey, I'm not that nice!! He is doing remarkably well, way better than they told us he would do for his first round of chemo, so we're thankful and happy! He gets his next round of chemo this coming up Monday, August 4th. I'll head over to the doctor's office during my lunch hour and relieve Sandie during his treatment. He sits in one place getting his chemo for about eight hours - makes for a long day!
Well, consider no news good news. Thank God! and....Eric, please try to not worry so much, it's not good for your health either and Rhonda needs your healthy!! :)
